Self-Assessment

The First Step

Person writing at their desk — beginning an honest introspection

This introspection is designed to help you pause, look inward and gain clarity about where you are and where you might want to go next. It's the first step in any meaningful personal development journey – and it's entirely yours.

There's no pressure to continue and no obligation to work with me. If my feedback resonates with you – great. You're welcome to take the next step. And if not, that's perfectly okay, too.

This is a starting point – not a sales pitch.

Why Clarity Matters

Most people who feel stuck aren't lacking intelligence, skills or opportunities. They're lacking clarity. They don't know what they actually want – as opposed to what they think they should want or what others expect of them.

Without clarity, every decision feels heavy. You second - guess yourself. You procrastinate on important changes. You stay in situations that don't serve you because the alternative feels undefined and risky.

The First Step is designed to cut through that fog and give you and me the opportunity to evaluate whether we're a good fit for working together.

The Framework

This introspection is a short version of a longer exercise and picks up on the most important 2 factors:

1. Where are you now?

An honest assessment of your current situation–professionally, financially, emotionally. Not where you wish you were. Not where you think you should be. Where you actually are, right now.

2. Where do you want to go?

A vision of your ideal future–specific enough to be motivating, flexible enough to evolve. What does success look like for you? What would make you proud in 3-5 years?

3. What is in the way?

The obstacles–internal and external – between where you are and where you want to be. Some are real constraints. Many are assumptions that haven't been tested. Let's explore them and bring them into the light so they can be thorouly assessed.

How to Use This

Work through The First Step on your own. Set aside 10-30 minutes of uninterrupted time. Be honest with yourself. Write from the heart.

Once completed, you will receive a "clarity score" that will put you into one out of three categories. I will then review your responses and send you personalized feedback within 2 days.

If you feel overwhelmed by the exercise or you just don't like doing these, join the free Career Clarity Workshop (monthly, 90 minutes, 10 seats), where I guide a small group through the framework, live via Teams. You'll do the introspection work yourself, but in a structured environment with the option to share and get feedback.

"The questions were simple, but sitting with them – really sitting with them – changed how I saw my situation. I realized I had been avoiding a decision I already knew the answer to."

What Comes Next

After completing The First Step, you'll have a clearer picture of your situation and what you want. Some people find that clarity is enough – they know what to do and just needed to see it written down.

If you want to explore further, I'll include a link to book a Discovery Call (20 minutes, video, free) in my reply email — a quick conversation to see if there's a mutual fit. From there, an optional Kick-Off Session (CHF 90, 45 minutes) lets us define your starting point and goals in depth. The fee is credited towards the Career Accelerator if you decide to continue.

But that's a decision for later. For now, just take The First Step and see where it takes you.
